Hi, I'm Zoe, a third-year Bachelor of Communication Design student at Monash University with a passion for creating thoughtful and engaging visual experiences. My interest in design began at a young age and continued to grow throughout high school, where I achieved distinctions in VCE Design subjects, confirming my desire to pursue a career in the creative industry.

Throughout my studies, I have developed skills in branding, typography, publication design, illustration and visual communication, with a strong focus on creating meaningful, user-centred design solutions. This portfolio showcases a selection of projects completed during my university studies, highlighting both my creative process and technical abilities. I look forward to continuing to grow as a designer and contributing innovative ideas within the design industry.

03 Motion Designs

'What is pain?' - Alfred Hospital Motion Design

This motion design project, What is Pain?, was created alongside my studies at Monash University in response to a real-world client brief for The Alfred Hospital. Using Adobe After Effects, I developed an engaging animation that communicates complex medical information in a clear and accessible way. Although the animation is narrated from a child's perspective, this approach was used to create empathy and relatability rather than target a child audience. Through this project, I strengthened my skills in motion design, animation, visual storytelling and designing for a real-world client.

Fluid Identity Logo - 2026

Associated with the previously mentioned brand identity project, I also developed a fluid logo animation to complement the original visual identity. The brief focused on exploring how motion could enhance a static brand by communicating its personality and values. I animated the illustrated tomato so that it moves around and gradually forms the logo, symbolising the journey of fresh produce from the farm to the customer while reinforcing the brand's connection to locally grown food. This project strengthened my skills in motion design and Adobe After Effects, demonstrating how animation can create a more engaging and memorable brand identity.
