Circle of Voices furniture design

This project was based off inspiration from interior design called 'The Sit Place' by Aboriginal Australian designer Alison Page. I decided to research Page's concept and take the central ideas and develop a furniture design. With the purpose of the furniture design to be used for Aboriginal Australian elder's to yarn and dream, I consulted one of my friends who belongs to the Wurundjeri people. I consulted her during my design and research process to not only gain beneficial feedback and insight, but to also ensure my design was ethical and suitable for such communities. This project was developed alongside my Indigenous Australian history class in my second semester of my design course. The furniture design was developed on Fusion 360 software and was selected along side various other outcomes in the project (i.e. a graphic design info poster and poetry).
