Publication Booklet Design

During my third design studio class I designed an editorial publication based on a series of Alice Rawsthorn's design diary entries, transforming digital content into a curated printed format. I chose to focus on the life and work of Greta Magnusson Grossman, organising the publication into chronological chapters that highlight her career, achievements and influence on modern design. Throughout the publication, I combined informative text with carefully selected imagery and typographic hierarchy to create an engaging reading experience. I also incorporated visual references inspired by Grossman's furniture and lighting designs, using geometric forms, restrained colour and spacious layouts to reflect her Scandinavian modernist aesthetic. This project strengthened my skills in editorial design, publication layout, typography, information hierarchy and visual storytelling, while demonstrating my ability to translate research into a cohesive and considered printed publication.
